Infusion therapy or infusion refers to medications delivered intravenously or by IV administration to the patient. In some cases, infusion medications are referred to as injectables or intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
Many of the newest medications are Biologic and cannot be taken orally due to the fact they will not remain effective after exposure to the digestive system.
Many of the infusion medications are prepared by a medical professional at the time of treatment. When the medication is intravenous it will likely be prepared and added to a bag of IV fluids and then administered intravenously through an IV catheter placed by a registered nurse.
In addition, given that SIA is a licensed medical clinic in the state of Florida patients can also be examined by our primary care doctor or nurse for a routine checkup or for the common cold. Patients can also receive vaccinations and immunizations to prevent against contracting certain strains of flus and viruses.
